Dirty southern soul-rock. Urban Preacher, with its spunk and electrifying performances, is bringing back an old sound in a new way. Imagine an 8-piece band, dressed for success playing a dingy barn, sounding like the bastard child between The Black Crowes and The Black Keys with a female singer. In March of 2008, multi-instrumentalist Jordan Safer met Myrrhine Faller, who had the right amount of soul and New York sass to lead the group into what would become scorching live performances. When summer rolled around, Jordan and Myrrhine moved to Toronto where they found the rest of the Urban Preacher congregation: David Henriques on bass, Kyron Newbury on drums, Matt Mosionier on guitar and Anthony Rinaldi on sax. The Urban Preacher congregation reminds you that we're all in this together, so take a step back from life, hold on to your beer and enjoy the ride.
Urban Preacher will be touring across Canada in support of their self-titled EP throughout 2009.

Unfortunately, no. I had to work last night. I was waiting to check my schedule for the month, and it turned out I was on a night shift last night. My apologies, I would like to go to your next venue though if it's local, as long as I'm able to attend, just give me a time and place.
Hey, you guys rocked at the Horseshoe, too! As soon as you took the stage I knew it was going to be good. And, likewise... love the CD! Keep in touch and maybe we can do some more gigs together in the future. We'll probably be back to the Shoe sometime this summer.
That was a great set at The Horseshoe. An undeniably electrifying experience, merging traditional with the modern, shades of blues, jazz and RnB, merge to create a rocking celebration of rhythm and voices raised in song. A collective atmosphere that breathes life and soul into the room, making it come alive with musical joy.
