I am a real life Jack Bower (24) type that has got out of the biz of running and gunning down bad guys around the world and trying to be a good family man.
I attempted to take my skills and experience to regular people but the government, forbid me to elaborate on my creds so I had to go radical hence the name to get past good ol boys that do the same thing. It took me in a whole different direction. But its ok.
I started a firearm training biz and later a national gun club for people of color that morphed into it own persona, called the BlackManWithAGun. The Urban Shooter podcast and page is an extension of my grassroots activism and training.
I am known around the world as the most audacious advocate for self defense, legal gun ownership and personal responsibility.
In this realm have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Washington Times, Washington Business Journal, has been the guest on numerous talk radio and featured in a the movie, “Michael & Me” (2004) and the BBC’s documentary “Charles Dickens in America; My American Journey” (2004, Fox News 5, WJLA TV 7. And most recently on, on TV-One’s Sharp Talk with Rev. Al Sharpton. (Dec 2006)
To make things more complex I am an ordained Baptist minister that loves God. I am not orthodox in anyway and try to do what I have to not to offend people that have expectations of good clergy. Like, I won’t wear my earring in the pulpit and probably won’t ride my Harley on a day I am preaching just so my actions don’t take away from someone’s worship.
