Cambridge Hip Hop Week is five days of intensive courses in dance, art & music aimed at young people & adults in Cambridge & the surrounding areas. In essence it's Hip Hop school, courses include Breakin', Poppin', Lockin', DJing, Mcing, Beatboxing, Graffiti Art & Clothing customisation.
As part of the week SIN Cru, funded by Arts Council England present the first ever VII Gems Rock Division Rockin’ workshop in the UK, with legendary B-Boy Ken Swift & Nako flying in from Breaklife Brooklyn NYC.
There’s also a lecture & screening of ‘The Rock’ documentary. Ken Swift will also be teaching several BBoy workshops throughout the week as part of the BBoyin Beginners, Improvers & Masterclass courses. Check out the other courses that are available below...
The Urban Sinfonie afterparty closes the week with showcases, performances & exhibitions from participants of CHHW. The Urban Sinfonie individual, 2on2 B-Boy (Breakdance) & Poppin' Battles are open to all B-Boys, B-Girls & Poppers. Past entrants include dancers from through out the UK including Sinstars, JNR Sinstars, Bad Taste Crew, La Familia, One Motion, Children of the Monkey Basket, Mean Feet, UK Allstars, Imperial Steps, Physical Jerks, Style First Crew, Negro Tendencies, Funk 'N' Disorderly & Born to Rock, as well as dancers from France, Italy, Holland and beyond. Now approaching it's seventh year, Urban Sinfonie goes from strength to strength.
