The annual Urban Voice National talent competition was created by Tony
Biola in 1998. The Urban Voice competition became renowned across the
country for showcasing talented individuals who have gone on to make
their mark in the music industry, including international group Floetry,
comedian Richard Blackwood, Gospel group Raymond and Co, So Solid crew
member Mega Man and Baby Blu to name just a few. The aim was also to
engage young people from black and ethnic minority communities and those
at risk from social exclusion, offering them a chance to channel their
energies into a creative art form.
The rapidly growing organisation is now about to expand into the realms
of international status, with the birth of Project Talent (PTUK). The
new training and development programme whose ethos is 'The Home of
Artistic Expression and Professional Development for The Creative Mind'.
PTUK aims to develop and nurture the innovative generation of tomorrow
bringing a number of creative disciplines together to form creative teams
which support their artist. "This is the future of education training
and development on a whole new level" (Tony Biola) Check out
