Gina will be in Rio de Janeiro Brazel today for a benefit concert by Jimmy Page for his charity Casa Jimmy. Jimmy does lots of charity work for abandoned & street children in Brazil!! JIMMY will be at a benefit event for Casa Jimmy - an institution that helps needy young people, adolescents, and pregnant women, in Santa Teresa, Brazil. Jimmy will be there along with Pepeu Gomes, George Israel, Kid Bee and bands formed by pupils of the school, in the Auditorium of the British School at Rio Saturday evening.
For anyone wishing to attend the presentation, tickets start at $ 100 (Standing). Seats will cost $ 200. The sale of tickets is limited and, in principle, parents of students of the College have priority. All proceeds benefit 'Casa Jimmy' which was founded thanks to a donation that Jimmy made to NGOs Task Brazil Trust while he was in the country for a concert performance in 1997. On that occasion, there was a serious disorder in the shanty town next to the hotel where Jimmy was staying, leaving him very concerned about the situtation there.
The Task Brazil Trust was founded in 1992 in England, and oversees projects implemented in Brazil designed to benefit and support to the lives and needs of children, adolescents, pregnant women and young street kids.
