Crazy Old Lady of Peace's Interests
General
I love nature. I am happiest when I am outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where I live.
I love music. All kinds of music. To me, if someone drew it from their soul, applied notes and words and meaning to it, then it is music. I do have some favorites, but they change often according to my mood. One of the cd's I've been listening to a lot lately is by one of my friends. It is nice, spicy, contemplative Jazz. I have a link to his CD's on my blogspot blog.
I love Feldenkrais. It has helped me avoid surgery on my hand and arms because of all the hours I spend creating art at the computer. I learned to use my body more efficiently and that has cut down on the debilitating aches and pains that come from over use.
And most of all, I love playing with people, with their biases, their moments when they are in danger of becoming sheeple instead of people. I think so much of someone's inablity to enjoy life and to be manipulated by others comes from inner wounds that were never healed. I created a website that people can go to and heal the stupid kinds of inner wounds, the wounds that weren't their fault. And there's also room on the site for the bigger crimes of conscious. In order to have world peace, we must have world healing of everything, big--small--in between.
I hope this is enough information to draw like-minded and hearted individuals. Peace to All!
Music
I love music that makes me feel it. I have a special fondness for Mozart on one end of the spectrum and classic folk singers with a bite on the other end. I came of age during the so-called protest years so my tastes were honed on musicians like Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, The Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Cream, Neil Young and all the other heroes and idols of my youth. They are still some of my favorites, although I wouldn't consider myself alive if I wasn't receptive to the ever-changing offerings of talented artists such as The Waifs, Pink, and of course some of my 80's hangovers like Peter Gabriel, Sting, Annie Lenox and a whole bunch that would make a very long list if I kept going.
Movies
I love Fellini. Anything moves towards and away from that center.
Television
I had an ant farm as a kid and that shaped my tv watching consciousness. I don't spend a lot of time in from of that screen because I prefer this one, but I'm a reality show junkie (that early ant farm imprinting) and so I love Survivor, Amazing Race, and other stuff where people turn into rats, ants, and manipulated creatures for the sake of our mass entertainment.
But my passion are cooking shows. I love Iron Chef although I'm not a big fan of Rachel Ray as she's a bit too perky. I grew up with chefs and they were NOT perky. I am currently addicted to Top Chef.
Books
I will read just about anything once. Things I've read more than once are Bulgakov, Anais Nin, most of the existentialists/nihilists of the 20's and 30's, and a great deal of Russian and other Eastern European authors. I have an aversion to religious allegory of any kind unless it is satire so that left my childhood reading list quite short. That's when I discovered Anais Nin. I went from her to most of the authors she wrote about. She has my eternal gratitude for opening my eyes to writing as I continue to believe it should be. Without her diaries I would never have devoured the feast of writers she introduced me to.
Heroes
I think this is a word that has been way overused. My heroes live by a very simple philosophy: help where you can and leave the world a better place when you leave it than when you came into it.
Peace.

About eight of us got in with varying titles ranging from Mistress of Illusion, to Spreader of Propaganda. We never had any meetings, no bylaws, didn't believe in anything, and had only one thing to our name: a slogan we made up and painted on one wall (with washable paint) "Free the rats; free ourselves."
About me: Hello Everyone!
I've had a blog for awhile over at blogspot (mishkabear dot blogspot dot com) but I wanted one that was mostly for writing about peace. My other one is about everything else, although no matter what I write about, I prefer to take the path of peace.
I'm one of those people who has many interests because somehow I missed the "you can't do this" lessons that weigh down most people. If I wanted to write, I wrote. If I wanted to do art, I did art. If I wanted to play music, I played music, if I wanted to learn about computers, I learned about computers.
To me, the only limits in life are limits of conscience. I see no reason to ever, for any reason, to hurt another living creature. I hope to write about this more in my blog because it is easy to misunderstand. People always say, well yeah, what about if someone attacks you and you have to fight back. I fight back is the obvious answer to that kind of question. I like being alive. I just don't like having death of anything on my conscious, no matter how small and insignificant it appears to be. How do we know some spider isn't grieving for the mate we whacked with a newspaper?
My politics are at the complete opposite end of conservative. I refuse to apologize or mute my speaking up for the poor, the weak, those who have no one to speak for them. If this is Liberal, then I am proud to be a liberal, although I tend to resist labels. I will continue to vote for those who care about ALL people and not vote for those who think a Democracy means turning people against each other over fake issues like gay marriage. These are issues meant to divide and those who buy into them are as much victims and those who are persecuted for wanting to get married to the person they love.
I've been a pacifist for most of my life. I think war is something that only politicians, gun runners, bomb makers, and other morally bankrupt people think is good for a country. It is a failure for everyone. It kills people for stupid reasons. It makes bad people richer. It steals mothers, brothers, fathers, sisters, children from families. It makes people draw lines down the center of their country and demand they pick which side to scream from. There are no good wars. They are all bad. Some are fought out of necessity, but that hasn't happened for at least 60 years, no matter what crap is spewed on faux news and other government propaganda machines.
The only salvation and hope for the planet is love, and it has to start inside our own hearts. If we don't heal ourselves, we have no hope of healing the planet, because that is the main problem: there are sick people running the world. Sick, morally bankrupt, greedy, selfish people. And they know where your own wounds are and how to make you dance to their music. Stop being their willing victims and learn to think for yourselves!
I will write a lot more in my blogs, so check back often for these raving madwoman thoughts. It is my hope that my words and my art will be just a couple of the small seeds needed to grow a new, more loving, compassionate and tolerant world.
I also sell stuff with my art and philosophy at many different places. ..

Please read BEFORE sending bulletins or requesting to be added as a friend:
This is a space by an ATHEIST devoted to peace and tolerance and acceptance of all people, regardless of race, political affiliation or RELIGION.
I was hoping I'd never have to censor anyone from this site because I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to be part of it if they didn't agree with what I've written here.
Sadly, those who have a religious agenda to push have forced me to put up this disclaimer. I consider abortion to be a private decision between a woman and her doctor. I do not think it is something that should be used as a political or religious wedge issue. It's none of your business unless you are the pregnant woman or the doctor. Anything else is meddling and stirring shit.
Therefore, anyone bringing up abortion is not contributing to peace; they are creating a disturbance to further their own political or religious agenda.
Anyone posting bulletins regarding abortion, no matter from the pro or con position will be deleted from my friend list as there is no way that I can see to just delete the bulletin. The same for any attempt to convert someone else to your religion. That is even more private and personal than abortion.
There is so much in the world that exists only to separate people and divide us against each other. Religion and abortion are two topics that have become way too politicized to do anything to further the cause of peace. There are plenty of sites devoted exclusively to their existence. Please use them for a platform and leave this one as it is: devoted to peace and harmony.
Thank you. Have a peaceful day.
If you want to follow me around the web, here's my twitter twitter tweat tweat. :-)

These are some of my designs that I sell in my Cafepress shop and others. Please enjoy them.

Hello. World Peace Before 2021 became YourFriend some time ago. Now I am much more accustomed to how MySpace works. So please forgive me for not 'commenting' until now. My eight-year-old-peace-activist son Axil Kollist's quest for World Peace Before 2021 is gaining momentum! I'm so proud of him. Please embrace him AND his song "World Peace Before 2021" which he performs beautifully. His performance can be seen on MySpace, his webpage www. worldpeacebefore2021. com and/or YouTube (by searching his name Axil Kollist.) It is my intention to post a new video of him singing his song every few months so people can watch his talent grow as impressively as the momentum for his quest! I'm inviting you to contact my son directly too via his email address worldpeacebefore2021@hawaii.rr.com .I'm sharing two photos with you. The first is of my son distributing his free world peace bumperstickers and the second photo is of him singing at Maui's Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Day Festivities in January 08. Very best regards, Axil's mom
NEW LIFE, NEW HOPE, ONE CLICK A DAY BY EACH ONE OF US CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. Enjoy your weekend my friend, you deserve it :-) Love, Peace & Hugs, Nina
