Creada l’any 2004, Urtica Sound es converteix en la primera sound system de l’efervescent moguda reggae a Vilanova i la Geltrú. Creixent any darrera any, fins convertir-se en una sound respectada a l’àmbit nacional, actuant en tota la geografia nacional y fent els seus primers shows a l’estranger en països com Itàlia i Suécia. Sempre amb la màxima actualitat, Urtica porta a les seves maletes de discos plenes de novetats i omplertes de dubplates. Això ha permès compartir cartell amb sound system i selectors de la talla de David Rodigan, Sentinell, Pow Pow, Robbo Ranx i compartir cartell amb artistes de la talla d’ Alton Ellis, Max Romeo, Jah Mason, Collie Buddz, Michael Rose, Million Stylez o Hermano L. Urtica tambè ha participat en diferents soundclash, alçant la copa en dos dels més prestigiosos clashes en l’àmbit nacional com son el BCN 45’’ SOUNDCLASH (2007 i 2008) i al BILBO SOUNDCLASH (2009).

Created in 2004, Urtica Sound has become the first sound system of the effervescent movement of reggae in Vilanova i la Geltrú, growing year after year, till it has become a very respected sound at national level and acting throughout all the national geography and also making their first performances in foreign parts, in countries such as Italy and Sweden.
Always with maximum actuality, Urtica have their suitcases full of discs of new releases and loaded of dubplates that has permitted them share posters with sound system and selectors of the size of: David Rodigan, Sentinell, Pow Pow, Robbo Ranx and sharing posters with artists of the size of: Alton Ellis, Max Romeo, Jah Mason, Collie Buddz, Michael Rose, Million Stylez or Hermano L. Urtica has also participated in different soundclashes, rising up the cup in two of the most prestigious clashes in the national ambit as BCN 45(2007 and 2008) and in the BILBAO SOUNDCLASH (2009).
