Pensacola, Florida (August 4, 2008) – The 1st Annual National ROCK
SUMMIT Festival will kick off Saturday August 30, 2008 in beautiful
downtown Pensacola, Florida, on Labor Day Weekend! The gorgeous
backdrop for the festival will be the historic village of downtown
Pensacola with breathtaking views of Pensacola Bay. The ROCK SUMMIT
will be broadcast live, worldwide via sponsor www.BLOGTV.com!
Over 100 bands from across the country will be performing at the
National Rock Summit music festival in the streets of downtown
Pensacola and at participating venues, such as; Top of the Town,
Pensacola Cultural Center, Jack & Ron's and Seville Quarter. The Rock
Summit will start at 2PM.
MADELYN and SKY TELLS ALL will headline the festival, along with the
Rock Summit Finalists: MONSTERS ON MAPLE STREET, AMBITION BY DAY, A
TRAGIC VICTORY, and BLANK IMAGE. Mobimark is providing a service that
enables people at National Rock Summit to text votes from their cell
phone to help their favorite band win Rock Summit. The winner of
National Rock Summit will be announced at the end of the show. The
winning band will receive a slot on next year's local Rock Summit Tour
and their choice of a cash prize or an independently contracted
marketing deal.
Rock Summit Founder, Derrick Knight said," Rock Summit is an
interactive entertainment experience which reflect the positive
changes in the music industry due to the growth of online music.
People can download anything these days, now they want to experience
the music live." He continues, "I think the most amazing thing about
the National Rock Summit is you can cross the country in one night by
just crossing the streets to the different venues and checking out
bands that were hand picked on the local Rock Summit Tour!"
Derrick Knight, 21, spent his summer in New York City working on Rock
Summit and says "I hired people to help manage events and book bands
for local Rock Summits nationally and this year has been a great
learning experience. I'm already looking forward to next year so I can
put to use what I learned this first year."

National Rock Summit tickets go On Sale Now. Tickets are $15; tickets
will be $20 on day of festival, so save $5 online while you can! Kids
10 & under (with report card) get in Free! Christian, Punk, Metal,
Hardcore and other music genres will be represented at the festival.

dude Derrick or however you spell it that was the worst show it was not worth travlein all that way for some little Gay outside stage but thank you for everyone that helped out and pulled through for all the other tavlin bands
