Universal Solvent evolved out of the swamps of Louisiana in the summer of 2006 with Jess Skinner on the trumpet and keyboard, Danny Bell on percussion, Kyle Reiszner on guitar, and James Ellington on bass. From the melting pot of Louisiana came several musicians with different backgrounds with the common goal of creating something new and original. From the drifting ambient tones to the in your face riffs, our music has been described as "civilized yet primal". After several years of developing our sound and style we decided to leave our musically stifling home town and move to Nashville where we met our singer Brandon Oliver. Through our vocalist we have found a new life that we can't wait to explore and for the world to experience.
