BLACK MASS has been delivering thier brand of uncompromising Satanic Metal since early 1987. Right From the start BLACK MASS began to create raw Evil Satanic Metal & soon released the "of Death" demo in late 1987 with a good number to be distributed around the Washington/Baltimore area. BLACK MASS would the be silent until 1992 when the "Death Will Reign" demo was released. Throughout the early 90's BLACK MASS was plagued by line-up changes & more than a few period of incarceration for The Evil One. In 1997 BLACK MASS released the "Dais Of Blood" demo & followed up shortly with the "Experiments In Pain" demo. Both demos were received well throughout the underground & BLACK MASS began to establish a Rabid kult following.
BLACK MASS played a series of shows with an insatiable response & in 1999 released the self-produced "....for Satan" CD demo. Later the same year the CD was re-recorded using only the drum tracks & the "Cut Your Heart Out For Satan" MCD was released on the newly formed GrindNoiZ/Grim Nocturnal Records and featured 2 live tracks as a bonus.
Continuing to play shows & appearing at festivals in 2000, BLACK MASS gained the interest of Elegy Records & signed with them for the 2001 release of BLACK MASS' debut full-length "To Fly With Demons". The CD was received well by MetalHeads everywhere & BLACK MASS began to make their mark on the worldwide extreme Metal scene. In 2001 the band self-produced a live video shot during their performance at the Milwaukee MetalFest XIV. The Video sold out in a matter of months & was very well received throughout the Metal community. Toward the end of 2002 BLACK MASS gained the interest of Primitive Recordings & signed with them for the 2003 release of "Voices Of Fate".
In 2004 BLACK MASS Collaborated with HELLRAISED for the "Alliance of Evil" Split CD, which was released on Grim Nocturnal Records & continued work on the "Conquering Legions Of Astaroth" CD for release in early 2005. With This Latest Release the BLACK MASS horde has established themselves as Kult Masters Of satanic Metal. Their music is fast, Evil & forged in the fires of hell!!!
