The Lady Trojans ice hockey team is proud to be the first and only collegiate-level women’s team in California! Since our inception in 2001, we have striven to promote interest in the game and to provide a competitive yet encouraging environment for players to develop their abilities and skills on the ice. Our team is comprised of women of all majors and class-levels, graduate and undergraduate, who share a spirit and camaraderie unique to the Trojan tradition. We previously played against women’s travel teams and clubs from around Southern California, and have competed intercollegiately against the University of Arizona Icers, the Arizona State University Ice Devils and the Iowa State Buckeyes.
2007-2008 will mark our second season as part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). With a deeper team than ever, this year looks to be both challenging and rewarding as we strive to establish ourselves as contenders in the ACHA Women's Division (II) and expand our list of collegiate opponents.

All enrolled USC students, faculty, and staff are eligible and, though previous experience is of course ideal, we encourage prospects of all skill levels to come and try out! Drop us a message or send an email to wice@usc.edu to get on the mailing list.

Maria Rooth (Swedish Olympic Team, mariarooth.com) will be teaching a girls/women's hockey clinic in LA May 2-4, 2008. This is the only time she will be teaching in the US! Three sessions will be held, girls under 18, adult beginner, adult intermediate. Each group is limited to 30 and groups are filling fast. We are new charitable organization aimed at increasing the awareness of women’s rights issues in Cyprus and offering support to victims of rape, domestic violence and abuse.
It is our intention to form a charitable organization with the intention of offering support to victims of rape, domestic violence and abuse.
As part of this organization we intend to eventually offer a full support service including a 24 hour helpline, unbiased legal advice and a “safe house”.
Once the organization is established and operational, we intend to continue to raise funds enabling us to raise awareness of the problems surrounding women’s rights and the treatment of victims in Cyprus.
We also intend to create a movement strong enough to make major governmental policy change in this country with the end game being TOTAL EQUAL RIGHTS AND TREATMENT for women in Cyprus, particularly regarding issues of the treatment of female victims of abuse, violence and rape.
Please feel free to contact us if you would like further information or if you would like to support us in anyway. In fact, just contact us anyway! The more we talk about the problems, the closer we will get to a solution!
