Useless Desires is a four-piece alternative rock band that performs original songs with thought provoking lyrics and catchy grooves. Lead singer and sole songwriter, Dave Shear absorbed music from The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Police, Nick Drake, The Clash and Nirvana, among others, and hints of each help shape the Useless Desires sound. From the edgy guitar and bass driven songs to mellow piano driven songs, each has a unique sound that sums up the whole. The emotionally driven vocals can be both moody and seductive. These songs will undoubtedly draw emotion.
Useless Desires is currently recording their first album due out January of 2009. In the meantime, you can catch them playing live in San Francisco and around the bay area.
