Steve and Joan are still out playing and singing with other bands including Johnnie Crain and the Shadows (http://myspace.com/johnniecrainandtheshadows) and others. We'll keep you updated on all their gigs right here, until they get their own myspace pages up and running.
User Friendly is an awesome band out of the Quad Cities area of Eastern Iowa/Western Illinois. They play a wide variety of music including Classic Rock, Blues, R&B, Hard Rock, Funk & Country from the 70's, 80's, 90's and a few current hits.
Formed in June of 2006, they already have a regular following of fans and every time they play more fans jump on board. Singing most of the lead vocals and playing his thumpin' bass is Steve with his powerful smooth as silk voice, the incredible rock and blues guitar rifs of Burdette Pettit makes you wanna get up and dance, the hard driving lightning fast "double bass" feet of Kent Hendrix on the drums makes you wanna scream "HELL YA!" and well.... there's Joan.. if she isn't singing a kickin' lead, shakin' her tamborine or singing a background harmony, you'll find her out on the dance floor shakin' her moneymaker with the crowd. That girl just can't stand still when there's music playing.
Hey there – FGC has two fun shows in Iowa this weekend! First up is DG’s Tap House in Ames on Friday May 8 for a show with MooseKnuckle, where we’ll be raffling off tickets to Summer Camp Festival! Saturday May 9, we head over to the Redstone Room in Davenport, our first time back since New Year’s. The weekend is sure to be blast, so we hope to see you out there!
Speaking of Summer Camp, the festival is just weeks away! In addition to two daytime appearances, FGC will also be performing a special late-night set paying tribute to The Big Lebowski! Details and tickets at www.summercampfestival.com.
