Me, myself and I. It's all me baby except the drum loops.
Influences
Let me start off by quoting myself from a song I wrote called "Rock On"
"In '72 I heard the Alice Cooper Group, there ain't nothin' like the grooves of Buxton and Bruce..."
Were to begin? I cut my teeth on the original Alice Cooper group, Led Zep, Black Sabbath, The Stones, James Gang and Deep Purple. I then graduated to KISS, Aerosmith, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Van Halen (the Diamond Dave years), Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, Foghat and Cheap Trick. Today I groove to Corrosion of Conformity, Black Label Society, Velvet Revolver and The Black Crowes. My local heros are The Supersuckers, Post Stardom Depression, Plaster, Zeke, North Twin and Omnivoid. My local guitar heros are Jimi Hendrix, Mike McCready, Jerry Cantrell, Dudley Taft, Kevin Hughes, Andrew McKeag, Tim DiJulio, Jeff Fielder and last, but definitely not least, my buddy Rontrose. My favorite unsigned out of town bands are Dirty Power, The Golden Gods from San Francisco and Speed Queen from L.A.. I guess I'm a glutton for LOUD guitars.
How could I forget I love the tone Joe Walsh had in The James Gang!!! Let's not forget Johnny Winter is a fuckin' wicked blues guitarist, too often overlooked. And speaking of tone and guitar pickin' and kickin' Mr. Billy Gibbons! My first rock n roll show Fall of '76, ZZ Top on the Fandango Tour!! I also need to give some recognition to Audley Freed the master on guitar.
Now I'll tell on myself! I went through a glam period too! Nope, not the 80's, but the early 70's. I loved The New York Dolls, Gary Glitter, David Bowie, Slade, Sweet and T. Rex. Although listening to any of them now, I don't consider them glam, but they definitely paved the way.
I found a new guitarist that rocked my world when I went to see Melissa Etheridge. Philip Sayce, check him out and show him some love...buy his CD.

Clean and sober 43 year old "butt rocker" guy. Big Sky Country born and raised and in Seattle now since 1987. I've been playing guitar since about the age of 10. I learned all my open chords and then gave it up because I didn't realize you needed an electric guitar and a Marshall amp to sound like Jimmy Page or Joe Walsh. I bought my first electric guitar and amp at the age of 18 and started playing again. I was never very good or should I say patient enough to learn other people's songs. I'd learn the intro or main riff and call it good. I didn't really take the instrument seriously until about 28 when I took lessons and learned enough theory to begin songwriting. I was in one band for about 2 years at the age of 30 then gave up music all together for 7 years. I was just about to sell all my gear when I discovered digital recording and that sparked my interests again. What you'll hear here are my own tinkerings at home.
I am now playing in a band called .
To date, this is the best opening act I've ever seen: It was July 28, 1978!! They opened for Aerosmith. See below.
Oh Yeah!! Back in the day!!
This is just a couple of weeks before I saw them.
Just in case you ever wondered who David Lee Roth stole from!
Don't believe me, look at the compare!
The first time I saw them was when they toured for this record.
Many hated this song, but I actually liked it and still do.
Ah the summer of '79...
