Who I'd like to meet: The 2008 US Wind & Water Open is set for May 9-11, 2008 on the
beautiful sands of McGee Beach in Corpus Christi, Texas. Corpus
Christi, Texas is known for high winds & a warm climate. Corpus
Christi is the official host city of the 2008 USWWO.
The 2008 USWWO features national championships and U.S. titles
in wind & water extreme sports. With nearly $10K in purse money
and prizes, the US Wind & Water Open features the U.S.
Windsurfing Regatta, the U.S. Kiteboarding Open, & the USWWO
5K Run. The US Wind & Water Open, formerly the Velocity Games,
is an international favorite to both the competitors & the
spectators.
Over the past 20 years, the national events have evolved from a
local weekend outing into an international celebration. Today the
USWWO is bigger & better than ever with the additions of larger
purse amounts, family entertainment, international vendors, &
new elements in the sand, sky, & sea!
