We've now had 5 years of lies about 9/11, WMD's, and freedom. The real reasons were oil, profiteering, and fascism. Not just Bush, but the news media, most of congress, and all who remain silent. And now they'll use fear to quash dissent. It's nothing new -- it's been going on for ages. War, poverty, ecocide, arrogant bullying --they're all from greed and fear, which come from ignorance. ♥ But it's not too late -- we can still learn to make peace. Talk with people. Love, Eric

Why poll results in critical states are not as important as in previous years. Obama is attracting thousands of new supporters in these states that are not showing up in polls. A lot of these supporters are newly registered or have never voted, so pollsters do not have their phone numbers to call to ask poll questions. Many of these that Obama have attracted to politics are young people with cell phones who’ll not be called by pollsters. It’s interesting that in straw polls, for example one straw poll at a fair in Iowa, Obama came out on top. The key is, we must continue to sign up people for Obama, get them registered, and get them out to vote in Jan-Feb. If this means picking them up, finding baby sitters for them etc; we must get them out to vote.. It will be tough getting the young people out to vote in the primaries. They have let down past campaigns who relied on them, but we can change this. We must strategies on how to get EACH person we enroll in the Obama dream, out to vote! Iowa, NH, South Carolina, Nevada, and Florida are critical. Let’s individually make a difference. We all know people in one or more of these states. Think on how you can individually be a campaign manager for Obama, marshaling forces to get him nominated as the Democratic candidate. Hold those who support him close so you can get them out to vote on that crucial day. My favorite mantra is: ‘If it’s going to be, it’s up to me!

Register online as a Democratic to vote for Obama in Jan/Feb
In some states, you must register as a Democrat to vote for Obama in the primaries next January or February. This is true of Florida and Nevada. Not sure of others.

The Obama campaign may not go negative on Hillary but that doesn’t mean we cannot subtly and tactfully help Democrats understand that if we want to win the presidency, she is not the way to go. The media wants her to win the nomination because they like a down and out dirty fight. Hillary is so polarizing; they know they’ll get one with her against the Republicans. Republican talk show hosts and listeners are salivating to fight with her. The Republicans will exploit her many negatives and destroy her. We must tell the consequences of a Hillary nomination. The key is, many are supporting Hillary because they love her husband. We must make it understood that giving Hillary the nomination does not mean they are bringing Bill Clinton back. The Republicans have more dirt on Hillary than Obama and their negative ads will put an end to her run. Her campaign is portraying her as campy and whimsical because she has never been that. In the latest USA Today/Gallup poll, conducted April 13-15, 2007, more Americans say they have an unfavorable (52%) than a favorable view (45%) of Clinton. Clinton's favorable rating has been below 50% in each of the last three Gallup Polls. The Republican machine will destroy her! Obama will make the country feel good about the future. It will be harder to go negative on him in the general election. We must focus on the word ‘authenticity’. Is she authentic? No she is not! Her stance on the war has changed as the polls on the war change. She talks about universal health care but accepts donations from drug lobbyists who are vigorously waging a war against universal health care. She actively worked by threatening to silence women who slept with her husband, instead of holding him accountable; Is this the action of someone for women’s rights? Inform all who will listen that Obama is the best hope!

Kennedy noted in one speech that "experience is like tail-lights on a boat which illuminate where we have been when we should be focusing on where we should be going."

Obama is actually three years older than Kennedy was. It is also interesting to note that Bill Clinton had no experience in Washington. He was a governor.

There's no doubt that the day Obama is inaugurated the world will look at America differently. That provides us with some important political capital...It will wipe away the ill-feeling George Bush has built up over eight years.
