I LOVE all music. It's my haven, how I refuel, re-energize, ground... it can help us find the words when we are at a loss for them. I listen to everything, just depends on the mood I am in.
Movies
With my goofy sense of humor, I love anything comedy, like Adam Sandler, Mike Myers in Austin Powers or Cat in the Hat! Remember Wayne's World? Classic! Jim Carrey is also a favorite... Pet Detective, Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar. I'm known to drop crazy movie lines daily!I miss how Saturday Night Live USED to be, in the 80's and 90's. And Pauly Shore, where did you go? Chris Farley, you are dearly missed. The list could go on, but I obviously enjoy mostly comedy. I am a girl, so I obviously like chick flicks. Action? eh. HATE horror movies. Movies today are much more graphic and realistic then they used to be. It's a scary enough world, no more images in my mind, thanks. With a child, I seem to enjoy her movies more! Cat in the Hat, Scooby Doo, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., Stuart Little, the list goes on. I am totally guilty of watching those by myself when I want to watch a movie, haha!
Television
I don't really watch much TV. If I do it is Discovery, History, Learning or my fav, the Travel Channel. Tantrum ensues if I miss Anthony Bourdain, No Reservations or Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.
Books
I have a pretty full bookshelf of most everything except fiction. Here lately, I have been reading homeowner books, gardening, landscaping, etc.
I LOVE all cookbooks, from old-fashioned comfort food to contemporary cuisine. I will try any food, at least once. Well, maybe. =/
'Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply.
If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.
If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.
If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.
She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.'
So - if you give her crap,
you will receive more shit than any one human being can handle.
Always laughing, crackin' jokes and being ornry, breaking into show tunes or movies lines unexpectedly. Ya never know what’s going to come out of my mouth haha! Aside from the constant laughs, I do have a serious side- well, sometimes. What is life without happiness, smiles, and laughter? But, you piss me off once, you probably won't be given the chance to do it again lol! I have a very low BS tolerance- consider yourself warned. Oh, and I don't like punctuation. It's making me angry using it right now! Me and the kiddo are always busy working on our new house- seems there is ALWAYS something, or LOTS of somethings, to be done! I live for spring and summer, lounging in the sun and working in the garden and yard. I LOVE to cook and BBQ, maybe with a drink or two, good music, & good friends. During the winter, don't expect to see me emerge from my house unless I absolutely have to lol! I despise the cold.
HOME RUN!!! 6-6-08
5th and last home run of the season! We played well and got 4th place! =)
Who I'd like to meet:
If you are not with an apparent organization or cause, please send me a message with your friend request... Sounds bitchy, but I have added a few people in the past, and they turn out to be crazy! I am here to mainly keep in touch with family and friends, and also "meet" and network with like-minded people, such as health and wellness, parenting, vaccinations, activism, charity, awareness, cooking, music, the list goes on.... I am NOT on here for dating, so don't bother! If you are a "friend of a friend", let me know, and I am happy to add you- of course after I review your application and credit report and verify three valid forms of identity... I have my friends categorized as best as possible if you are searching for a certain subject. Also, be forewarned, I don't always leave a lot of comments. That doesn't mean I don't value your "friendship". I just don't always have time to sit here for hours sending messages. But, some days I do lol!
Seriously.... haha, where do I get one of these?
A Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON,
It is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realise is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.
When people come into your life for a SEASON,
It's because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
