U-Turn are in the band tent. They offer a surprise. Theyre not just typical heavy metal teen miserablists. Here, they produce something of a fusion between heavy metal, funk and rap. Such a description would immediately bring to mind Rage Against the Machine, but their music is more individual than that and doesnt match any comparison I can think of. Maybe I should get out more.
They are crowd pleasers to say the least. The crowd roars with appreciation at the end of the set. One of the highlights of the band tent.
Cross Rhythms:
If you like your rock a little on the heavy side, and your drummer worked hard, you'll be interested in U-Turn.
George Moorey (Wiredreocrds):
"this collection of songs the development is astonishing"
"there is a lot of good energy and creativity going on with the EP and if the last three years progress is anything to go by U-turn should be a true force in a few more years."
Jamie Hill - Quench:
For so long now young new Christian bands have just been bad.
Thankfully that trend seems to have stopped with Dweeb and now with
U-Turn. Edgy and Passionate Rock at its best is the only way to
describe this band. The songs are great, the playing sounds
fantastic - I think these guys have an amazing future and I cant
wait to see them develop. Bones is a real stand out for me with
Maker Meeting close by . This is a great recording and God is so prominently
there. These guys ROCK!!!!!
U-turn a four piece christian band from Gloucester England, is a Pop-rock band with heavy influences from funk, metal and punk-rock. Highly dynamic shows and blisteringly energy account for a large part of our popularity, Along with fresh sounding music, catchy melody lines and crushing choruses all accounting for the bands overall vitality. Each member brings forth another dimension to the music and live shows. Aiming to capture the attention of the crowd and give them a night to remember, with not just the music but baring a powerfull message of Jesus Christ in a real way to the teenagers we are prvilaged to play to.
Our ep "colour of emotion"
Review on Cross Rhytms 8/10
Apologies to both the band and, indeed, for fans of cutting edge rock music, for the delay in reviewing this 2005 release. For this, a four-piece from Gloucester deliver a six-song gem of a release full of fiery guitar work and passionate vocals. There's a crisp, budget line production too only occasional misjudgments (like the rap on "Maker Meeting") spoiling the overall effect. But this is still gutsy, full on rawk pulling no little spiritual punch. Here's hoping they can stay together to make more music. I bet Uturn are a blast live.
Hey folks! How is you'll doing? Hope all has been going very well and your still blessed. We just dropping by to say hello and wish you'll a blessed and wonderful weekend. Continue to stay blessed.
