   About Uva Ursi
Increased late-night appearances have attracted a rabid following, once comprised entirely of North-East Ohio Librarians, but the Proofreaders have established tabletop colonies at recent gigs. UVA URSI formed in Kent, Ohio, in October of 1993. They are nearly finished recording a new full-length record, titled Distance. Their 6-song debut CD, Matter was released in 2004. . . . . . . . "I’ve been spellbound by this CD since the first time I heard it. It’s a different form of transportation...maybe a full-moon ride in a small boat...charting its course by way of the constellations outlined by Richard Thompson, Gene Clark, Tom Verlaine, the Velvets, but the mood is its own, and it’s a mood you don’t really want to pin down...something like wonder. The songs are catchy and played with precision and restraint, so there’s room in them for you to look around. The most welcome new CD I’ve heard in a long time." Mike DeCapite, author Through The Windshield. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Mike DeCapite, auteur Through The Windshield

Sorry, I've been a little busy, this whole internet thing, its time consuming, I've got mice to catch, a bar to tend to, patrons to please, so... if I haven't filled in all the blanks yet, chill... boy ....chill....
