United Way of St. Charles presents our first poker run.
Prizes will be awarded! $300.00 for best hand, $150.00 for second place, worst hand $50.00.

Every year, the United Way of St. Charles hosts the 5K Bridge Run. Nearly 2000 people from across the world come to participate in the run. Cash awards are given in each age category.

Toy And Food Drive
The St. Charles Parish 4-H Club coordinated with local schools and collected over 500 toys and over 1000 pounds of food for the United Way of St. Charles Toy and Food Drive.
The Alfred Bonnabel High School Key club held a drive to collect toys for needy children.
Several Key Club member students presented representatives of United Way of St. Charles with the toys collected. There were more than 100 toys collected. These were combined with other donations and provided gifts to 1600 needy children in St. Charles Parish.
Key Club Representative Ibrahim Kahetid said that the Key Club was looking for an opportunity to help needy children and the United Way of St. Charles Toy and food drive seemed like the perfect opportunity.
United way of St. Charles would like to express our sincere thanks to the Key Club and all of the individulas and corporations that made our Toy and Food drive a success!!!

United Way of St. Charles(UWSC) is located in Luling,Louisiana. St. Charles Parish is one of the "River Parishes" outside of New Orleans.
We fund 29 agencies that serve the residents of St. Charles Parish in Louisiana. UWSC Board of Directors are local Business and community leaders who volunteer their time to monitor and distribute contributions ensuring the most beneficial impact in our community.
We dont ask a few people to give alot, we ask alot of people to give a little.

Every fall, United Way of St. Charles kicks of the annual campaign with the Battle for the Paddle. Teams from local and out of state businesses come to compete in this jambalaya and gumbo cookoff. This year the Bttle for the paddle is October 1, 2009.The public is invited to come taste the food, vote for their favorite, and join the festivities!
