In summer, 2000 years after our Lord's resurrection Lukasz Schubert (guitar) and Darek Bugla (keys) came to a conclusion that it was a perfect time to drink a couple of plonks and several cold beers to cool down their bodies and to start a band they named UZIEL. That time they were engaged in many after-school activities - Lukasz played in Cortege and Darek joined the Knight Brotherhood. Another factor that had a crucial influence on Uziel's development or maybe lack of it was socializing connected with heavy drinking. Rehearsals took place very rarely and still they did not have musicians they needed.
After a year of this chaos the boys decided to suspend the band to finish their education and to earn some cash for a slice of stale bread not mentioning some spam and sausages...
ACT II
Time of Resurrection
Half a year later Lukasz and Darek met again to taste some drops of beer and to decide that UZIEL needed to be reactivated. The rehearsals took place as rarely as before but this time the boys were too determined to blow the whole idea up! They were playing their songs which could be described as melodic death metal.
Another year passed by and the sun of summer 2003 came to blind Lukasz and Darek's eyes. That time they were joined Piotr Kulesza (guitar) who had been known as a skilful manufacturer of his own jam. However, he decided to quit his fruit business to focus on brushing up his skills as a guitarist in UZIEL.
Time runs as fast as cold beer through the throat of a thirsty coal miner on Saturday evening and the boys, busy with playing their songs, came to a conclusion that it was time to change sandals into boots before they go out because winter came. Together with snow and very low temperatures the band was joined by Sebastian Bartek (voc/bass) who had been widely known as a member of CORTEGE. He also knows some Monty Python?s sketches by heart, I swear!
Now UZIEL only needed a drummer...
ACT III
Time of Difficult Decisions
Half spring in 2004 was very beautiful. Flowers flooded the meadows, sun melted ice on the lakes but unfortunately, no stork coming back to Poland after the winter brought anyone who could play drums in UZIEL. Sad but boys decided that it had been much too long without a demo so they decided that, for a while, a machine would be the best solution for the band. The same year, in summer, UZIEL recorded its firs demo called „An Empty Shell”. Of course, the band promoted it as much as they could. There were numerous reviews where UZIEL was compared to Dark Tranquillity, Crematory, Lux Occulta, Children Of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir or even Cynic, can you believe? But the material was recorded at home mostly and the drummer was not into drinking beer very much which was not very good for the sound.
The band analyzed all the reviews and came to a conclusion that you cannot make the same mistakes again so they decided that their next material would be recorded with a live drummer! Another important conclusion that boys drew was that at home you can only have good dinners but you cannot create an ass-kicking demo so another crucial decision was made ? the next material would be recorded in a real recording studio!

Time of Rebels
BBetween January and February 2006 UZIEL decided to record their new stuff at P.W.M.Ch.S. in Rybnik. The band worked hard on the sound of the new material to give their music fangs and claws. The plastic sound from the debut was replaced with juicy guitars, sinister keyboards and insane vocals. UZIEL had a very good time in the studio and they wanted to show it in a way that is why the new material ends with a surprising song ''Falling (in love with a piece of smoked pork),,. Unfortunately, the new material called ''Long Perished Rebels,, had to wait until summer to be released...

The summer is upon us! It's upon me at least :D Survived 5 exams this semester and pretty well I might add. So now's the time to do as little as possible and relax!
That's how it normally is... Right now I'm only using the saturday and sunday faces :P
I'll go to Prague in a week so be sure to say hi first :P Or something similar wise ;) Hoping to hear from you soon!
