Vaala is a 28 year old songwriter/musician/producer from Dundee. If you have heard some of Vaala's band based songs, (www.myspace.com/setarana) then you might take a liking to this solo project he has creating. With just as much passion for electronic based music, Vaala has used his knowledge and musical background to create several tracks that will uplift the mind and tease the senses.
Vaala, who is Persian, was born in London in 1980 and moved to Dundee, Scotland when he was ten months old. His first musical encounter was at the age of eight where he took up the violin. However after many years, he realised that the instrument was not for him and moved on. Throughout the course of the next 10 years, Vaala developed his musical ability to the point where he could play a variety of instruments and also write in many musical styles.
Playing in many different bands over the years, including Samba Band Ryhthm Wave, Perth College Big Band, Dundee based band The Vetacore and many more, Vaala has decided to concentrate on his own music, while also leaving some space for other musical activities too.
Having completed a degree in music performance in May 2006, Vaala aims to continue writing and perfoming for any one who is interested in listening to his music. (Check out www.myspace.com/setarana, or click the link below for some groove orientated vibes.)
