My Hero was and is my Father. He was a Norfolk Virginia battlion Chief and was in the Fire Department for 32 years.
He was murdered in 1986 and I never got to tell him how much I loved him. His name was Jesse James Myrick the best man I ever knew!

I'm just a country girl at heart. I've lived in Virginia most of my life. After school I married a Firefighter with the City. I should have listened to my father. Need I say more. I've got one son and three grandchildren and they are great. I'm American Indian and Irish. I'm a Pediatric nurse and work with Down Syndrome and Genetically Disabled Children and I love it. I volunteered with the City Of Virginia Beach Fire Department and Rescue Squad for a few years and loved it. The best times of my life were spent in that Fire station. I grew up in a Fire Department family. It means alot to have that bond with others, for the rest of your life. I'm very passionate about ORGAN DONATION, LIFENET.org. and SAVE7LIVES.org I've picked up too many people off the streets in accidents that have been in need. Or what about the people who have been waiting for a transplant? When you die, you don't know that you didn't take your organs with you! Please give them to somebody that can use them. DONATE! Contact your local organ procurement organization, If there is not one where you live contact LIFENET.org. They can put you in touch with the right people. You need to carry a card from LIFENET or who ever you have in your wallet in addition to your drivers license. There are so many ways to help! Please go to the site and find out what you can do. In my life as a nurse I have found ignorance all around me. It saddens me to think that you must feel sorry for someone because they are sick and dying! No one wants your sarrow or sympathy, they want you empathy, your compassion your friendship. I love what I do, thats why I do it. I'm not a bad person, I just have to look at things differently than people who don't see this everyday. I also am very passionate about Missing Childern and Sexual Offenders and stopping these preditors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
