Whether revisiting a jazz classic through modern eyes, or performing new music already timeless, this group is guaranteed to bring you to an original new world. A truly eclectic group, their careful blend sounds equally at home in a 1950’s Jazz Club, the streets of Rio De Janeiro, or in the Balkan Mountains of Eastern Europe without feeling either contrived or schizophrenic.
Since late 2005, the VA Folk-Jazz Trio have appeared regularly throughout Southwest Virginia. They have performed on a Roanoke Times TimesCast, as well as a live on WUVT in Blacksburg. In May of 2006 the Trio headlined the first Tunes at Twilight in Martinsville, VA.
The Folk-Jazz Trio is available for a wide range of performances, ranging from the intimate private party to large festivals.

Va Folk Jazz Trio, it's always nice to hear the sweet sounds coming from yo page. I posted a new demo song on my profile. It would make me smile really big if you would come over and have a quick listen.
This past Friday Jay Goldman was invited by The USA Freedom Corps to speak at an event held at The White House in Washington, DC. The event will be held this Wednesday December 5th which is International Volunteer Day.
Jay will be speaking at a luncheon in one of The White Houses dinning rooms. The crowd will be comprised of Congressman, U.S. Senators, Foreign Dignitaries from the United Nations, and few other very high profile people who for security reasons we are not allowed to mention. The event is sponsored by the U.S. Senate in conjunction to raise support for Senate Bill 1464 and House Bill 3698 – The Global Service Fellowship Act.
The passing of this bill by Congress will help bring aid to some of the worlds most poverty and disease stricken areas. This will be done by the U.S pledging 10,000 additional international volunteers yearly. This is an amazing opportunity to help bring aid outside our borders and make a difference on a global scale.
