Sounds Like
If Tool and Poison the Well got trapped inside a box of chocolates consumed by the Deftones, we might sound like that. Or we might sound like this ---->*
Vagus was formed in Austin, Texas in fall of
2000, and since their start they have strived to be a band like no
other. Believing that music is still an art form, how they create is a
formula based on the love of what they do. With their debut
“Jeremiad”, released in summer of 2003, they crafted an honest and
very professional effort. However, they still had many things to
learn, and many more things to prove. Playing at any show, with any
band helped, but Vagus finds it hard to fit with any hard rock style,
either they are too heavy, or not heavy enough. Now after three years
of musical growth and a spreading legion of fans, they have become a
very powerful and influential band for the masses, and what Vagus can
deliver to any label that signs them, is the sound that Vagus has made
their own, and the dedication and professionalism that pushes Vagus to
be a very lucrative group. With their strong perseverance, and “do-it
ourselves” attitude, they will mature to reach the highest points that
an artist or entertainer can achieve.
Vagus is:
Dwayne Williamson (23)-Guitars, Vocals
// Nash Godsey (26)-Guitars // Chris Pena (23)-Drums // Currently looking for a bass player
"Frantic and hellish vocal screams combined with warm heartfelt melodies and rhythmic crushing soundscapes
"Gripping stories of love, desire, hatred, rape, fear, murder, and more" - (read the full lyrics in the blog section)
Vagus wants to thank all there brilliant and devoted friends and family. Big thanks to Amy & Adam for all the artistic support.

.."
"let there be no more war"
it's so funny, this little conundrum,
which warring folks and those who support their primary function,
repeatedly drone on: "god made the world to be this way,
so who's to say, what wrong or right?" they say...
apparently they think they are
the chosen ones to carry uzis,
claiming the ultimate power to take life,
and all in the name of Allah or Jesus...
to put it simply, war is private mourning
sublimated into public vengeance
and if you could REALLY forgive your enemies
there'd be no more war,
so why don't you come to your senses?
yes and who's to accept the circumstances as they are ?
I ask with solemn deference
while riding in your car
looking up the stars...
cause if you could could really forgive existence
and accept that death is always here
then this fucked-up cycle of vengeance would
finally disappear...
there never was a borderline
there never was a spoken truth
there only was this consciousness
uniting all in the same root
so i don't care what country you're from
i don't care what name you call god
if you could really forgive
there'd be no more war
o let there be no more war.
