About me:

Virginia Historical SocietyFounded in 1831, the Virginia Historical Society is located in Richmond, capitol of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The VHS is a non-profit organization and serves as a major research and educational center. A repository for all things related to Virginia history, the VHS aims to collect, preserve, and interpret the commonwealth's past for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations.

VHS Programs
We offer nine long-term exhibitions, several galleries for rotating exhibitions, a research library, a variety of educational programs, lectures, and events, and a paper conservation lab. In 2006, we opened our new wing that houses new offices, gallery space, storage, auditorium, classroom, and the Reynolds Business History Center.

The VHS also owns and operates Virginia House, formerly an English country manor home relocated to Richmond in 1925. For more information, call 804.353.4251 or visit www.vahistorical.org.
