Diana's Interests
|
| General | My interests include the written word, listening to music, cooking with my family, and talking about my faith. I don't like sports. At all. | | Music | Like the music? Sigur Ros. My favorite. I was fortunate enough to see them live at the Bass Hall last February. They were inspired.
I also like Amiina, Explosions in the Sky, Midlake, Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emporer, Radiohead, The Crystal Method, Coldplay, Imogen Heap, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Dead Can Dance, E.S. Posthumus, Steindor Andersen and anything composed by Hans Zimmer.
...Oh, and the note of soundtrack music, I'm listening the heck out of The Fountain by Clint Mansell (Together We Will Live Forever is amazing) and Pan's Labyrinth (the film was terrible, but I still enjoy Nevarrate's work). You should also take a listen to Crash by Mark Isham, The Village by James Newton Howard (Hilary Hahn is incredible) and Pride and Prejudice by Dario Marianelli. | | Movies | A few of my all-time favorites are The Neverending Story, The Secret of Nimh, Watership Down, The Dark Crystal, The Lion King, and The Land Before Time (only the first one!!) I love Don Bluth movies and M. Night Shyamalan films. I also like the movies Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation, The Jacket, Stay, and Memento. | | Television | I don't watch much television anymore. Only for Lost, and sometimes CSI (Las Vegas only). And I'm not above tuning into home improvement and cooking shows. This Old House and America's Test Kitchen are awesome. | | Books | No personal library is complete without (The Bible, first of all) The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings. I also reccomend The Belgariad and the Mallorean (by David Eddings) and the Inheritance Trilogy (even though the last one hasn't come out yet). Ender's Game and the much later follow-up Ender's Shadow are very good, as well as The Legacy of Heorot and Beowulf's Children. I admit that I enjoy Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and Harry Potter. And what bedstand would be complete without a copy of House of Leaves? Few things have the ability to keep me awake at night. House of Leaves would be the foremost (followed very closely by a few choice scenes from The Blair Witch Project and then by that creature in Pan's Labyrinth--you know, the one with its eyes in the palms of it's hands. Hibbity-jibbities...) | | Heroes | I hate that show. |

Diana's Blurbs |
About me:
I am a reformed Presbyterian and a writer. I like to take lots of photographs and I'm always working on some half-finished art project that will never actually get done.
I work at a bankruptcy law office filing paperwork and generating clerk letters. It's stimulating. I'm a journalism student and my aspiration is to one day publish a book.
Until I'm a published author, I occupy myself by writing fanfiction. Don't ask what a fanfiction is; it's embarrassing--an inane and pointless hobby. I write under the pen name of Amarielle, if it means anything to you.
I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net, check out these Myspace Layouts!

Who I'd like to meet:
Er...I'd like to meet David Eddings. If you're not David Eddings, one of my personal friends, family members or fellow fanfiction authors--don't bother me.
