MySpace a place for friends

I'm a very positive person and as with everyone else I guess, many experiences have helped to create my personality. I'm generally a quiet person who would rather give everything to help shine a spotlight on others than to take centerstage myself. Although when I'm proud of a certain accomplishment, I will gladly focus that light on myself for a moment too. ;)

Strange enough, when I started this MySpace, it was just meant to be another place to put my name on the internet - for my 2 sons in Germany to find me when they're ready. But it's become so much more.

At first, I found a friend that made such a big difference in my life at such a critical time. He helped me so much more than I think he even knows... Juergen the owner of Speak Easy. Getting in touch with him again after about 8 years really made me happy. But it hardly stops there... I've since also met family again, that I hadn't seen in almost 30 years! So awesome and unbelieveable...

These experiences have helped me realize that niether my father or even my grandfather had lived to be very old and how much I miss them and would love to spend time with them now, with my own sons.

I had let myself fall out of shape and most likely would not have ended much different. But, I don't want that!

MY TESTIMONY:

That is kind of how I started to get back into shape, and I was making small steps as it was all very relaxed. It wasn't until a friend of mine was telling me about this guy he had met (who had won the 2006 Body for Life competition) that I stepped things up. I firmly believe that things happen for a reason and most importantly when they're meant for you. This competition coming to my attention the way it did and when it did, was too perfect! All this leads to how my life 'began' to change.

Since I completed my 2007 Body for Life Challenge in October 2007, I have returned to working out regularly and with a passion. A complete lifestyle change was necessary and I'm so gratefull that Body for Life was presented to me - so that I could get myself physically back on track. Once my body was 'in shape' again, we all of a sudden had evangelists knocking on our door almost every week for a few months straight. My wife had been going with Logan to church for a few years now and Sunday was MY day alone to crank up the music and kick back, I was very happy with the situation. Never the less, I finally took the time to speak with one of the many evangelists that were hitting my neighborhood hard. In MY attempts to dismiss him, he actually had me speak aloud how Jesus Christ was my saviour... I did so thinking that I would get him to leave sooner, haha! He did leave then but I have not been the same man since! Unbelieveable and amazing how God works and it truly is like the eyes can finally see, the ears can hear and your mind can understand it all, I can't explain it too well at the moment but to put in one word it is Amazing!

The almost amusing part of that is also, since that afternoon in December 2007, I have not seen one evangelist again?! Was that to be MY last chance for salvation initiated from this group or were they maybe just no longer needed? It's hard not to think on a personal level but to know that they were so persistant for such a long time and then all of a sudden stopped right after I was saved ...just makes me smile.

How awesome when a band like Casting Crowns can sing a song of your changed life, for you ;) I don't think anyone would enjoy me even trying to express it like this, hehe

Lately I've found myself often going down memory lane. Could it be that I turned 40 this year? hehe

So here I would say that I would like to meet friends, family and influences from the past.
