VALENTINA GAMBA (voice, percussion, flute) hails from Reconquista, north Argentina - the triple border region with Paraguay and Brazil. Valentina was brought up on a diet of the music of this region: cumbia, chamame, tango, jazz and of course Bossa Nova. Valentina is a classically trained flautist and pianist.
ROGER PASTO CORTINA(guitar, percussion) grew up in Barcelona where he studied jazz guitar, composition, and Flamenco guitar. Roger continued his music studies in Liverpool and London.
DAVID EUGENE WEBB (drums, percussion, accordion)has recorded numerous sessions for films and even co-wrote and performed on a song used by Kodak as part of a worldwide advertising campaign. David currently plays on the latest release by Rich Webb, singer Victoria Hume and South African composer Chris Letcher
IAN TEPPER (synths, samples, electronica, percussion) comes from London. He has previously worked with indie band Brown amongst others. Ians interest in jazz/breakbeat has given him the chance to perform at various London live music venues including Cargo, Dingwalls and the Water Rats. Currently runs a club night at the Vibe Bar, Brick Lane, London.
ANDREW JOSEPH (bass) is from South Africa and at present works with, amongst others, composer Chris Letcher as well as the up and coming duo, Thank You Driver. Andrew has been playing in several function and original bands around the UK and South Africa.
Valentina Nova Tres are recording and intend to release the first album in early 2007

Valentina Nova Tres performed live and Valentina gave an interview on the BBC World Service in August 2004. In March 2006, Guitarist Roger Pasto Cortina performed at the Barbican Arts Centre, in the heart of London, as part of the Tropicalia Festival celebrating the revolution in Brazilian culture which took part in the late 60's. Sticking mostly to Bossa Nova, Valentina Nova Tres have a twist in their tail: Valentina their singer is in fact Argentinean but has been known to fool even the hardiest of Brazilians with her interpretations of the Portuguese standards from Brazil. Valentina Gamba hails from Subtropical north Argentina - the triple border region with Paraguay and Brazil. Her father is a jazz pianist and trumpeter and Valentina was brought up on a diet of the music of this region: "cumbia" - similar to salsa, "chamame" - an Argentinean rhythm and of course Bossa Nova. Valentina Nova Tres played a summer long residency in a Soho London last year. Valentina sings, plays flute and percussion. She is joined by Catalonian latin/jazz guitarist, Roger Cortina, London drummer, David Eugene Webb, South African bass guru Andrew Joseph and Londoner, Ian Tepper on electronics, beats and strangeness. Unmissable for fans of the type of bossa by the likes of Bebel Gilberto and Cibelle. Valentina Nova Tres include a drum and bass/trip hop slant to the conventional latin-jazz groove, elegant harmonies and Valentinas sublimely beautiful voice, evident both in their original music and interpretations of standards. VNT have been working on a new set of original compositions and are currently recording their debut LP.
