If you are reading this, it is no doubt because I recently responded to your Craigslist posting for a room available, you googled me to find out if I was an internet scammer, and ended up here, only to discover that I am actually an acoustic musician, which makes me (statistically and stereotypically speaking) only slightly more likely to pay my rent and uphold the lease. Which I will. I promise.
What you cannot find out from the Oracle that is Google (unless I tell you, which I am doing now), is that I come from a small town (Born in a place called Hectorville? You can't make that up.), am pursuing my passion (who doesn't want to be the next James Taylor?), am really lucky (I've been blessed not to need my nonexistent health insurance for over a year and counting), and hope make it big (one day, one fan, one song, one gig at a time)."
Meanwhile, a few other things that don't usually end up in an "Artist Bio," but are ending up in mine, because I only get the writer's bug at 3:30 in the morning, when all the filters are off:
1. I like to write in parentheticals (Like, a lot).
2. Dr. Seuss is one of my heroes.
3. Once upon a time I was a pink haired, ukulele playing, volunteer clown named Petunia.
Oh yeah - 4. I make music. Because I love it. If we are to become roommates, you'd better listen to the songs in the player and decide if you could handle hearing me live (a lot). Better yet, check the calendar and come to my next (several) show(s).
I've got your shows on my calendar!! Can't wait to hear more of you! I'm hoping to make it to an open mic this month, so hopefully I'll see you before then. I've also got a show coming up @ Rockwood Music Hall on Sept. 27th. Would love to have you there! Happy Friday. Have a great weekend! xoxo
Hey Valerie, I miss you! I'm in Germany now with the family...it's very peaceful. I was listening to your songs...miss hearing you singing in the next room. Lots of Love, Barbara
