    NYC based Valerie Gomes has been writing music since the late 80s. She has performed at The Cornelia Street Cafe,The Bitter End, Jane's Cafe, Baggot Inn, C Note, CBGB's Gallery, Orange Bear, The Triad, Rose's Turn, Kenny's Castaways, Dont Tell Mama, and many other NYC night spots. She has been on WBAI radio and performed her "Tower Song'" at a Sept. 11th fundraiser at the B'hai Center. She sings and arranges backup vocals for many N.Y.C. musicians, and has credits on many artists' CDs... .. Her first solo recording, ..Time Will Tell .. (2001), is an honest and sincere representation of her music. The gentle guitar and vocals take the listener on an intimate journey through Val's life experiences. .. Her follow-up CD, ..Valerie Gomes Live .., features some of her most popular and requested songs, performed with her band, at Rose's Turn in Greenwich Village.     You've got some really nice music going on here. Great voice and great sounding acoustic guitar. I'm glad we had a chance to meet at the Kauai Music Festival. Don't ever give up on your writing. And remember, a songwriter can write in any genre... it just has to come from the heart!
