"Valhalla is a very talented local rising band with a hard rock sound, stage presence and amazing instrumental solos. All this combined with natural talent and ability creates an incredible band," Mind's Eye Magazine, Ashley Hibbert, February 2008.
Power, diversity, and musicianship perfectly describe the live sound that Valhalla has perfected since their inception. Founded in 2006, the band has been bringing high energy music to the Vancouver Island scene. After a line-up change in early 2007, Valhalla is now composed of five stellar musicians and a charismatic singer. The powerful twin guitar attack of Matt Aasen and Mark Tardif is perfectly complemented by the ecclectic keyboard tones of Liam Gibson. The concrete rhythm section of drummer Spencer Bowman and bassist Dekar Matheson creates the thundering pulse that holds the band together. The energetic performance of singer Lisa Innes completes the experience. From the distorted attack of "Before We Kneel" to the anthemic choruses of "White Crow", the music grips you from the first note. Valhalla has won the 2007 Got Pop? Productions Battle of the Bands and opened for high profile bands like State of Shock, Econoline Crush and illScarlett. Valhalla is also currently developing a full length debut album which should be released by summer. For bookings and management info contact catbelly@shaw.ca.

How I made my profile: I used Dave & Jay's amazing myspace editor.
Thanx for adding SweetSoulX ,and for supporting Van Island music! White Crow is a frikkin wicked tune!(I dig your other ones too,but that one really stands out) KICK ASS BABIES!!! I'll see ya's around!
We would be super stoked to play with you guys again. So much talent in your band. We're scrounging for shows ourselves, but if there's any room we'd love to have you guys on them! Keep us updated with your goings-on and we'll do the same.
sounds friggin AWESOME guys! I'm so happy for you :))))) can't wait to pick up the full length album, keep up the good work! If my crazy work schedule subsides, perhaps i'll get to see you guys again,in this century.
The show on Saturday was wicked. I think all of us in IE are in agreement that it's both heartening and pathetic that you guys are better musicians than we are.
We had a blast listening to your guys' stuff, so all we can do is thank you for digging us.
hey bros, i know, it should be fun. ummmmm, we've been telling kids about the gab show. A general response is that kids would rather wait til our nanaimo all-ager, so that they dont have to worry about taking a ferry and stuff......however, like the past gab shows we've done, i think most of the kids coming are from NDSS, so if you wanna make up some type of poster, we'll be happy to help put them up around that area.
You Rocked last night! sorry, I didnt have much time talk. Good luck in the Battle of the Bands. We should do a show together again!PEACE LOVE REVOLUTION!!!! Davin.
How do you know we're in the next round? We haven't heard yet but even so...we might not be a band anymore!!! Besides...from the look of the comments...you guys are way to tight for us...get loose and sloppy and then we'll clash...hehehe...love Peter
umm, we really don't know.. i don't think we will win this round. you guys have dekar, he's like the ultimate force of cool. wait.. no... im thinking of brad pit, never mind
hey....thanks for the add....we're fellow British columbians to now.....imports from australia. Let us know when your playing next. Take care and keep in touch
