Hi
fellow Kula fans!
Soon the wait is
over and we can finally put our hands on the new Kula Shaker album.
Don't
forget to pre-order your copy of Pilgrim's Progress now!!
...And, last but not least, enjoy
the wonderful video for the new single "Peter Pan R.I.P.":
It was made in California in the early seventies by a guy called R C Allen. I haven't been able to find much info but it seems he only made around 50 instruments and there is no suggestion that he made any other double necks
Interestingly I was the only person in the world that bid on it when it was on E bay and at that point I didn't know if I would use it much. It's gone on to be something of a trade mark and to me its now priceless.
I have seen a couple of others although they have all been production models and very heavy to play. Its great to talk to someone who uses solid body mandos there aren't enough of us about!!!!!!
Still listening to your superb album mate I can hear loads of influences in there Zappa, The Cardiacs, Mettalica, Ram Jam even (call me a tosser) The Mission who do you guys cite ??
