Who I'd like to meet:
A promoter is a person or company which is hired by the nightclub venue to "promote" an event (whether it's a one-time-thing or a weekly party). This means that it's the promoter's job to create, coordinate, and distribute information about the event in any means possible... including word-of-mouth, emails, flyers, message boards, websites, and more. Sometimes, the promoter will arrange drink specials or book exclusive entertainment attractions. It is also the promoter's job to execute the event efficiently, being sure that staff are in place, DJ's are providing music, equipment is working properly, and the crowd is on the way... Most importantly, a promoter ensures that everyone has a great time!
