This year’s ValleyFest will take place on Friday, April 17, 2009 and Saturday, April 18, 2009.
Lebanon Valley College will be hosting its 38th annual spring arts festival on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, as ‘ValleyFest’ returns to campus. Students, families, and all community members are invited to join the Annville campus in the weekend festivities which will include a variety of carnival games, arts and crafts, children’s activities and concerts. The weekend will kick off with an all-campus picnic held on the academic quad. This will also feature the announcement of the winners of Mister and Miss LVC. Later that night, The Wig and Buckle Theatre Company will be performing “Spring Awakening” in Leedy Theater in the Mund College Center at 8 p.m.
On Saturday the festival will be in full swing as two stages of local and regional music and performing acts will flood the quaint campus. These day stages will go from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. But Saturday isn’t all about the music. There will be plenty of activities for children and adults of all ages—including tie-dying, inflatables, face painting, a reptile exhibit from Zoo America and more! Arts and crafts vendors from around the area will be present on the academic quad while various food and drink vendors will be dispersed throughout the campus. Children’s activities, carnival games and food vendors will run from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Saturday will see another performance of “Spring Awakening” at 2 p.m.
Meanwhile in Arnold Sports Center, the band Eve 6 will headline another concert with LVC’s Battle of the Band student winners opening for them starting at 8 p.m. with Eve6 scheduled to hit the stage at approximately 10 p.m. Tickets are $17 to the public and can be purchased through www.ticketweb.com.
Concluding the festival, from midnight to 2 a.m. there will be a free late night snacks and a Highlighter Dance Party in the Underground in the Mund College Center for LVC students and registered guests.
