All (unpaid) volunteers, from all walks of life and all ages. New members are most welcome and no previous radio experience is necessary.
Influences
Our main influences come from our local region, Tuggeranong; in the far south of Canberra (the capital of Australia). We try to feature local musicians, local news and local sports, as well as the happenings in our local community - which consists of approximately 100,000 potential listeners.

Valley FM 89.5 sounds great! Tune in (if you are able to do so) and remember that if you don't like what you hear; come back again in an hour or two and you'll most likely hear a totally different genre of music. Valley FM 89.5 (1VFM) in Tuggeranong, Canberra, Australia is a generalist, community (not-for-profit) radio station which broadcasts 24/7. All our members are volunteers and we broadcast everything from classical music to heavy metal, and everything in between. We also present hourly news bulletins, local news and information, as well as local sports information.

Our announcers range from quite young (9 years) through to more senior (85 years), and our weekly programming also includes some ethnic & some religious programs - although Valley FM 89.5 is neither an ethnic, nor religious, radio station and it is also apolitical.
