Playful, wild and gentle, Faroese vocalist Anna Katrin Egilstrøð lends her voice and charisma to powerful interpretations of songs from ages past, in Danish as well as Faroese and Icelandic.
VALRAVN is flaming poetry, featuring elements of folk, rock, punk and electronica - a unique and overwhelming experience of beauty and life force.
After playing together for two years in the medieval band Virelai with more then 200 concerts, Valravn decided to work with the Nordic roots and released the debut-EP "Krunk" in October 2005. The band is now touring with their debut album. The members of the band come from different backgrounds on the Danish scene: the band Sorten Muld, Irish folk, rock, eastern and electronic music and theatre.
VALRAVN sees today great international demand, having toured in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Sweden, The Faroe Islands and Iceland.

Hej Valravn. Tak for en fantastisk koncert i Kongens Have i Odense i går. I var klart aftenens bedste oplevelse og havde en fantastisk intensitet, som sædvanlig. Det var en dejlig overraskelse, at I havde et par nye sange med og en gæstesangerinde - det lød rigtig godt, at der kom noget andenstemme på, som supplement til Anna Katrins smukke klang :) Og de klædte også hinanden i deres vilde danse. Hvor er det dejligt, at I har dannet dette band. Venligst, Elva.
Glædede mig helt vildt til at se jer på Tønder. Men nu har jeg lige set at i laver koncert i Kongens Have. Det må jeg da også lige være med til. Så må jeg jo se om jeg kan indoktrinere en god kammerat til god musiksmag :)

Kære alle, I inviteres hermed til fernisering fra 13-15 lørdag den 2 august ved Galleri Bräuner i Toldbodgade 27/København. Min serie "Bubble Fantastic" kan næsten ikke ventet med at blive set :-) Vi ses måske på Bornholm næste uge - kommer I ikke og spiller der?
