About me:

Vampire Magazine was a metalzine from The Netherlands which started back in 1997. After 2 printed/xeroxed zines I (as chief-editor) decided to move all content to the internet in 2000. After years of achievements but also setbacks (no webmaster, server crash etc.) I decided to quit my position as chief editor in the summer of 2008. As I was proud of my work in those 11 years I've requested the staff to continue their great work but to bury the name "Vampire Magazine" with my departure. At the time I left Vampire Magazine contained more than 15000 articles and has almost 9500 bandinfo pages about metalbands with extented info.



I'm glad that Ron Salden (Partner in crime since the beginning of Vampire Magazine) continued our precious work and changed the name into Archaic Magazine. All the articles of VM are still present...so support them!

2008 - now After years of reviewing, interviewing, having contact with lots of bands and labels, having deadlines etc., I became a "fan" again...having alot of free time on my hands to listen to new stuff, hidden gems, obscure recordings and demo bands. Maybe I will return one day...

I've changed this Vampire Magazine Myspace page into a personal/VM RIP page.

2008 - now: Back being a fan and still a huge follower of the metalscene.

I listen to all metal genres, although I listen to Old school Death metal, Swedish Death Metal and Black Metal the most.
