Fan art. I LOVE fan art. If you've drawn any of my characters, feel free to show me! Just send them to rvance@vances.com and put "fan art" in the subject line. I will post your art (if you want) and credit you.
*Some books are also available on AMAZON.com. NOT sold in stores (sorry! It would be fantastic if I could get my books onto major bookstore shelves, but unless a big publisher picks me up, I don't see it happening :-( )

FAQ
I get asked this question a lot. I don't mind answering it, but I thought I'd save your time and have the answer available now. This is the response I recently gave someone and I thought it was pretty detailed so I'm going to use it here:
Are Your Books Sold in Stores?
---
Unfortunately, I doubt you'll find any of my books in a B&N or any store of the like any time soon unless my books get picked up by a major publisher (I'm not crossing my fingers, lol). I did have one girl tell me she found a copy of "Dead Seed" in a store like Waldens (can't remember which one exactly, but I know it was one of the bigger book store names), but I think that was probably just pure luck! Haha.
The only thing I can think of to get my books sold in stores is to have people demand them. Just go in to your local store and ask if they carry the title you're looking for (they may be able to special order it for you if nothing else). If enough people ask, they may become interested and start carrying them all the time :-)

Praise for R. Vance & her work

For Dead Seed
"Dead Seed is a nice change of pace for the subject of vampires. Dracula, Lestat, Kurt Barlow, and more recently Edward Cullen, vampires throughout literature each have their own traits that make them unique outside of immortal powers and their lust for blood. That’s obviously what makes them memorable. R. Vance’s vampire, called Aimeric, is no different; and he is such a unique and powerful character that I would love to see him again in a sequel." -- Shannon Yarbrough (The Lulu Book Review)

For Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) (part one)
"Wow... This is one of those books you can't stop reading. I read it at home and at work. I just had to know what was happening next. The characters are unforgettable, my personal favorite is "Kit" just because her attitude reminds me of myself when I was that age, but the story revolves more around Samara and Danteous love hate relationship. The first book ends with an unstoppable urge to find out what happened, who survived, who didn't. I can't wait for the second book to get here.
If you're looking for an exciting tale that keeps you wanting more, trust me this is one of the best!"

For Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) (part two)
"I loved this book, it tied up all the loose ends from the first and created a few new ones (hurry up sequel!). Well written, it sends you through every emotion and back again. The characters have more depth than most of the people I know, I feel like I'm a part of the story. This is a book I will read over and over. Thanks Ms. Vance for such an amazing read!" --Mandyluv21
"This is a fantastic book. I read it in one day. I didn't want to put it down. I loved the unexpected twists. Never Predictable! Highly recommend it." -- T. Prendergast

For Sinister Landscapes
"My Elf by R. Vance was by far the most poignant, and possibly impacting tale in the compilation as it depicted one man's fall from grace and his consequential unrequited love gone horribly, irrevocably wrong. Both sweet and sour, this is a tale of missed redemption and life long fear, coupled with a desire for love perverted in childhood. Less horrifying, but more emotional, this is a tale that demands attention and will linger always in the reader's memory." -- Ravenova Majere

For Jennifer Miller's 2008 Ladies of Horror
"Yet another story by Reyanna Vance, “Death Riders”, grabbed my interest with its strong plot line and interesting characters." -- Sonar4ezine.com

Having trouble finding my books on Lulu?
I can't get my storefront page to load at the moment. I asked a few other people and they're having the same problem so apparently it's Lulu's server or something (I don't know; I'm not a computer geek). If you're wanting to order any of my books, you're going to have to go through their direct links, which you may find below:
-- Applications/games. Nothing wrong with them, it's just not my thing. I get bored very easily; none of these games hold my interest for longer than about twenty seconds. So don't waste your time by sending me invites to Vampires, or that Mob game or anything else.
-- PC4PC (or pic 4 pic). "Buying" picture comments is just pathetic. Sure, everyone likes a little self-esteem boost now and then, but come on. It doesn't mean anything unless.

I WILL NOT:
-- Vote for you. Just like buying picture comments, this is lame and I refuse to be a part of it.
-- Hook up with you. As "flattering" as it is receiving a message that says "damn you sexy as hell, let's ****" (said with sarcasm), I am happily married, and even if I wasn't, I still would not hook up with you simply because I find messages like those appalling. Guys who send messages like that are all the same and can't be trusted ;-)

Vampires anyone? Like a good scare? Blood? Sex? Horror? Give Dead Seed a try. It's like "Twilight" . . . only with sex. And vampires that don't sparkle. And horror. Okay, it's nothing like "Twilight" other than the fact that it has a hot vampire guy.

R. Vance’s vampire, called Aimeric, is no different; and he is such a unique and powerful character that I would love to see him again in a sequel.
Be warned! This book is full of the allure and passion we’ve grown to love in vampires ever since Anne Rice came along, but Dead Seed is no red sexy love story. Aimeric preys on a troubled and suicidal girl named Araylyn with intentions of making her his immortal love slave. Punishment, torture, domination, there’s plenty here to either turn you on or make you blush! Or both."
"Dead seed is without a doubt one of my favourite vampire/horror stories and a must-read for everyone that values a good vampire story. Reyanna Vance is for sure to get in the same writers club as A. Rice, S. King and the other legends, so I do hope to read more of her work soon.." -- Nuruhuine (lulu.com)

"I read Vance's vampire novel a while back and still I reread it again every once in a while. I love the way how descriptive the imagery and captivating her novel is.
It was such a great novel that I wrote an essay (20 pages) about her novel for the International Baccalaureate diploma requirement. That is how good Vance's vampire novel is. If you are a vampire fan and absolutely love vampires, I suggest you buy this book. It is worth your money. It also make a great gift as well for those who love vampires." -- Teresa Phung (lulu.com)
For "Dies Irae: Love and Friendship" (part one)
"At first, like many books, it took a bit to really get to know and understand the characters. The plot starts off a bit slow, but if you push through, then everything soon becomes clear. This book is very unpredictable, and for the romance factor, it is bittersweet. The book, as titled, is very much about friendship, reminds me very much of Eragon in that sense. Very different from what I am used to from this author, but that just means she's versatile. All in all, it was a good read." -- Raquel
For "Dies Irae: Betrayal and Tribulation"
"This installment of the series was very much unlike the first(or the first 2, however you want to look at it). Because she didn't have to introduce main characters, this half of the series moved very quickly. The action and drama was never ending, and the twists and turns, though at times upsetting, left you wanting more. You simply just never see it coming. Period. Vance simply doesn't believe in following the track most people would see the story going. That is her trademark. It isn't your classic rosie tale where all is good in the world; sacrifices must be made. Disney and Vance follow very different paths. For this genre, it's perfect. For my sanity and wishful thinking, not so much. Great Story!" -- Raquel
"This was an amazing read, I couldn't put it down. The characters truly hold you interest, while the suspense keeps you on the edge your seat. I can't wait to read the next installment. Truly a gifted author." -- Mandyluv21 (lulu.com)
--
"Great Read! Once you start you won't want to stop. I wasn't sure dragons and fantasy would be something that interested me, but I was very wrong. The characters are intriguing and the story line is very engaging and the suspense and twists and turns keep you reading well into the night! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!" -- Theresa P.
