I Van Cleef Continental nascono intorno alla metà degli anni 2000, con il demo "8 shots 8 failures". L'attività del gruppo procede sino all'uscita di "Red Sisters" per l'etichetta americana Steam Machine Records nel marzo 2008. Sempre nel corso del 2008, la band partecipa al tributo internazionale "Hidden Desert", dedicato alla musica dei Thin White Rope.
"Red Sisters" uscirà anche in Italia nel corso del 2009 per CASAMOLLOY/AUDIOGLOBE.
