I miss you so much! I lived in Vancouver for a while and have just finished writing something about my time there... I'd like to share with you if you'd be so inclined! It's called "Soapbus"... about some of the time I've spent on the number 20... Thanks ever so much!
BIG THANKS GUYS, FOR ACCEPTING MY REQUEST, BLESS. I LOVE WHAT YOUR DOING UP THERE IN VANCOUVER, VERY GOOD STUFF, CREATIVELY SPEAKING. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
The Eugene Poetry Slam is seeking accomplished spoken word artisits to feature at Slam events during our upcoming season. Our Slam is held the First Sat. of every month, Oct. thru May 2008. $60 feature pay. Please send a bit about yourself and your performance history-Thanks! http://EugenePoetrySlam.org
I think that's a great idea. Maybe we coul have a duets slam. I'm working on a couple of group pieces and as long as we put the word out early I think the response could be really cool.
thank you Vancouver Poetry Slam Family
you truly are a family, as disfunctional, loving, and as there for one another as any family could be. I love the love in that place, & just so you all know, there are many talented voices that have gotten up at that mic over the years, & the scores mean very little next to all the good the Slam has done for people to be able to speak & share & learn & grow & be supportive.
funny the piece
I was writing,
prior to the piece I did do,
was about Australia,
the land down under,
& Puppetry of the Penis,
but although I was
putting many long hours
into my genital gesticulations,
I just didn't think I could handle
it as well on stage...???
again, thanks for allowing me to
grace the stage for my 5 minutes
of "fame"

MOTHER's DAY
Why not bring mom along after a mother's day brunch.
I just wanted to let you know I have reached 2000 friends ....so let this be a thank you for being one of them and doing what all good friends by NOT caring.
anyway, Ive been really into slam poetry and have been performing around NYC at such events.
Heres a sample of something i might do at a slam:
" i then go into this coffeehouse and strike up a conversation
with this other writer about why men always have to do the hunting for women.
he takes out this half empty bottle and this half empty cup and says
"the bottle is the man and the cup is the woman
and the liquid inside is their hearts.
now their hearts are not gonna be complete until they find each other"
and then he asks me how i would go about doing that.
so i told him that i would pour the bottle into the cup.
he says "why not the other way around?"
and i reply "less chance of a spill" and he says "exactly......
see when a woman pours her heart into a man it just gets broken
and most of it spills on the floor, but when a man pours his heart
into the woman, the woman accepts ALL of him."
