    Vancouver Review's Interests
GeneralAll things BC that have a unique twist.
MusicWe do want to do more on this front. The Summer 2005 issue featured David Pay's "Shock of the New (Music)" and we've just run a feature profile on Veda Hille in the Fall 2007 issue. Our Spring 2008 features musica intima, BC's most amazing choral group. Stay tuned for more on music in the VR!
MoviesSee our Fall 2005 issue for Dorothy Woodend's thorough piece on BC film "Tough (to) Love" And our Fall 2007 issue discusses "The Green Chain", a film about trees...and everything they mean to BC!
TelevisionWe've written about Deadwood, but generally, TV means fewer readers and duller minds in the world. And we sure need more of those around.
BooksWe've always had a strong connection to BC authors and maintain a regular book review section largely focused on their work.

About me:
We are a quarterly publication dedicated to new fiction, non-fiction, art, commentary, photography and books...all to do with (or created in) BC. We are distinctly regional in flavour! Our website is: www.vancouverreview.com See our "pics" section for a view of all our covers and, in future, you'll see select fun and otherwise unseen VR-related pics! ..Vancouver Review's Profile

Who I'd like to meet:
People who are interested in the idea of a "New Yorker for Canada's West Coast" - National Post. We also love new readers and subscribers. We can be found on the newsstands throughout BC and select places in Toronto and points east. For those in the 'burbs, try Save-On-Foods, London Drugs and Chapters/Indigo. In the immediate Vancouver area we are carried by all major independent magazine and book stores as well as Whole Foods/Capers, Choices, Chapters, Book Warehouse and places that surprise even us! Add us to your 'friends'. Help spread the word! If you are an illustrator, photographer or writer, however, please be aware that we do not commission work from outside the province. We also do not review concerts, films, CDs etc. unless they are in the conext of an essay relating to a larger view of the subject. For example, we may do a feature on the state of theatre in BC and mention notable productions within the piece but, being a quarterly, timely reviews of anything other than books don't work!

I love Richard Van Camp's "Wolf Medicine: A Ceremony for You"
The story made me a fan of both him and your magazine!
Thanks!!!
