Following their debut album called « The Moment » (2004), Vancouver release 2 projects for 2007 : a split-CD with Swiss heavy act Zatokrev, and a split 7” with the Austrian instrumental combo Fresnel. Dark riff-meisters, Vancouver continue to shape and create unique and evolutive sonic structures and soundscapes with volcano of dirge-like guitars, tractor-lover bass, stuttering rhythms and mountain-man vocals. Carved by black light. Imperious. Captivating. From open skies to exploding grounds, constantly exploring, the band shows an overbearing weighty nature, paced by heavy deconstructed violence parts and ambient tremors disgressions. Colossal riffing. Raw emotion, but with a touch of evil. Charm and chaos. A crushing sonic realm with class. Vancouver is a heavy hypnotic hydra, a multi-dimensional behemoth. And a Canadian city.
Formed by members of Unfold, Iscariote and Impure Wilhelmina, Vancouver was born in 2004.
