Music and politics are foremost. I'm also a big sports fan, football, basketball and hockey in that order. Michigan State fan (note the green colors here abouts) I also cheer for the Lions, Rampage, Pistons, and Red Wings on the pro side. As far as the Minor Leagues I am a big fan of the Class A Midwest League, especially the Great Lakes Loons. I also cheer for the CIFL Saginaw Sting (Indoor Football), and the OHL Saginaw Spirit (Hockey).

Books
The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress, Earth Abides, Enemy At The Gates, Tao te Ching, The Art Of War, The Chronicles Of Narnia, the Harry Potter Books, Cat's Cradle, any Tom Clancy, The Civil War Trilogy by Shelby Foote, Harry Turtledove's wonderful alternate history books, too many to list really.
Heroes
George Washington, Abbie Hoffman, anyone not afraid to take a stand but most of all the little boy who was unafraid to say, "The Emperor is not wearing any clothes."
I'm a born agitator and gadfly. As the great Abbie Hoffman once said, "Government is like chicken soup. If you don't stir it up often a disgusting scum will rise to the top."
"The opposite of war isn't peace, it's creation." Jonathon Larson
