About me:

After headlining three, two hour shows in front of the thousands of rock & metal hoards at this year’s Download Festival, (when Faith No More , Marilyn Manson & slipknot had finished), he's currently preparing to blast 2009's 'Bizarre Ball' into the stratosphere.

Vanderhorne is also co-director for the annual 'London Festival of the Art of Japanese Bondage', ‘The Iconography of Mask' Festival, Fangtasia London, Resistance Gallery, A Very Strange Incident and F.U.BABY.

Vanderhorne is at the very cutting edge of underground and mainstream entertainment in London. Having been the captain of East London’s legendary alternative music, art and ideas venue, “Alienistic Studios” for 8 years, Garry was integral to the creation and development of many live events, bands and promotions, as well as being a writer, performer, producer, director, vocalist, professional wrestler and wanabee superhero himself. (Vanderhorne’s alter ego is the Luchador Warrior, Shiro Yoshida)

As a co-creator of the 'Bizarre Ball', Vanderhorne is also a special contributor to 'Bizarre Magazine' each month and is planning bigger and bolder events with the magazine in the coming year as well as some more intimate collaboration’s involving his “Resistance Gallery” venue.

"Resistance Gallery" is the base of operations for a veritable cornucopia of artistic, creative and performance based ideas and events.

Whether in the spotlight or behind the scenes, Vanderhorne’s vision and drive has helped create a multitude of diverse projects and concepts through to reality, utilizing music, wrestling, comedy, dance, theatre, cabaret, fetish and art.

“Lucha Britannia” is Garry Vanderhorne’s current main event, and brings anyone brave enough to venture into the ‘Retrofutureverse’ closer to the action than ever before, by inviting them to ‘Break the Silence’ as part of the Underground Resistance whilst watching a unique concoction of entertainment on a live kick ass night out!

Garry collects comics, toys, Lucha Libre memorabilia, studies old British comedy, plays in a band, is kind of a geek and loves Tuna. His other ‘main event’ are his three dogs!
