She has been hired a for professional commercial voice work, and is the voice for the end title track in Alex Coxs' (Sid and Nancy, Repo Man) new movie Searchers 2.0. She is the featured actress and musician in director Hahn Nguyens independent short "Hello".
Vanessa has also done her share of unprofessional work! She has spent many a day and night singing in her room for her cats in PJ's. "These inspiring encounters are some of the deepest most honest and significant moments of my life". "Just alone and able to more clearly decipher a message."
She received her Music Degree from the reputably open-minded and quirky Mills College, (you can google the Mills article featuring her story) . She learned more about herself as well as coming up with even more questions about herself and life as a whole. She focused on experimenting with sound and further honed her catchy and unique songwriting skills.
She also happily teaches music, offering small group lessons and private lessons. She is currently beginning workshops for adult singers which involve exploring chanting, inner voice and personal expression in the form of the human voice.
Vanessa is the composer and founder of the avant-pop band Vanessa Beggs. She is the lead singer and part-time guitarist transcribing mood of emotions into melody and word. Vanessa is so happy to play with two of the most enjoyable and respectable young men!
