   Vanessa Bennett's Comedian Bio
BioVanessa is a comedian and improviser who has performed in venues, events and festivals around Australia. She performed her solo character show “Bodysnatcher” (’A great show that kept the punters enthralled’ The Groggy Squirrel) for both the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2007 and last year’s Melbourne Fringe, and prior to that had successful seasons in both festivals with Janelle Koenig in their comic play “Call Girls” (’A must see’ RRR). She also co-starred in "Pregnant Paws", a finalist of the Comedy Channel’s Short Film Festival competition 2006 and has featured on Stand Up Australia on Foxtel. Vanessa is a member of Melbourne’s longest-running improvisational comedy group, The Crew; has been heard on Radiowise’s Homegrown Humour; been seen on Channel 31’s Champagne Comedy; and has featured in sketches, short films, voice-overs & music videos... well just the one music video, but she did get to turn into an emo-zombie, which is fairly impressive. She even appeared in an episode of Mission Impossible once! There are some other things as well, but a girl likes to keep a bit of mystery about herself.

InfluencesMatt Lucas & David Walliams, Chris Lilley, French & Saunders, Jane Turner, Gina Reilly & Magda Szubanski, Judith Lucy, Monty Python & the usual brilliant comedians & sketch show peeps.
TV ShowsStand-up & sketch on the Comedy Channel (Foxtel), Channel 31’s Champagne Comedy, voice-over work for various commercials, and have appeared in an episode of Mission Impossible. Seriously! It was a rather (unintentionally) amusing scene where he finds the black box in a piano stool. And lately, in the music video for local band Kisschasy's "Spray on Pants" as a woman at the servo who gets attacked by & turns into an emo-zombie!
FilmsFine & Dandy (VCA Graduate film, 2006), Pregnant Paws (Comedy Channel Short Film Festival, 2006)
