Vanessa I Promise is an Acoustic/Indie/Folk Rock band from Central Florida with a lot of meaning behind their name. Formed in the middle of September of 2008, they are currently working on recording their very first album, to be entitled "More Than You Know". Shannon (Lead Guitar/Vox), Lauren (Backup Vox/Keys/Percussion), Steph (Rhythm Guitar), and Rikku (Drums/Keys) came together after a night with a Ouija board, a leaking air mattress, and several pitchers of sugar-free cherry koolaid. To them, Vanessa I Promise is more than just a band. These four teenagers pour their hearts out into songs for a girl who hasn't ever gotten the chance to live. They play music in hopes that one day, the soul with no body who told them many secrets would one day hear their voices. They can't imagine a world without music, the world of this sad little girl. They have come together for Vanessa, and all of the people she never got a chance to love. This is the story of their promise.
We have a few demos up of songs that will probably be on the album, and a few cover songs that won't be. Go ahead and download them while they're still up! :)
