| Bob Dylan - I bought my first Bob Dylan album in 2004 and it was the first time I actually listened to music. His story-telling music made me understand my passion for song-writing on a deeper level and made me realise that I don't need to limit myself in my creative expression.
Bob Marley - Listening to his music is like breathing deep. I feel liberated and encouraged to speak my truth.
David Gray - I discovered David Gray's music in 2005 and played it incessantly during a major transitional time in my life in 2005 and 2006. I have fond memories of that particular time, so his music will always be close to my heart. To me, his music embodies energy, spirit and enthusiasm.
Donovan - Colourful music for my soul. His music radiates a light and purposeful energy.
My favourite music dvd's to watch are: any Bob Marley, and Newport Folk Festival 1963-65 - because of the enormous sense of freedom and uninhibited passion in the air. A community of eclectic yet like-minded souls coming together to play music anywhere and everywhere and anyhow - with instruments or pots and pans - as a ways to express their life and what was important to them. |
