Christian Theology (obviously): missions, Jesus, international churches. Borders. Different world views. Garlic.
Mexico. Hungary. Prague. Vienna. Sverige. Scotland. Nederlands. I am recently attracted to Russia. Artsy stuff. People. People's stories. How they operate.
Living minimally (im not perfect in this department). ROCK AND/OR ROLL.
Music
Rock and/or roll: Smiths, U2, Depeche Mode
, Clash, White Stripes, Jens Lekman, Keane, New Order, Cure, Cardigans, REM, Wolfmother, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Who,Pulp, Velvet Underground...all kinds of stuff, but I'm fairly outdated.
The Myriad rock and they are super nice guys. I hope to have them over for dinner someday.
Jazz makes me feel beautiful. Miles Davis. Nina Simone is divine, and thank God for Cassandra Wilson. Is it strange that I really dig Sinatra nowadays?
I like random stuff like Japanese pop (Pizzicato 5), French cafe music, Klezmer, irish, Roma (gypsy), etc.
In summation, I like music done well and/or with passion.
Movies
Independent and foreign. Movies just done well. Ingmar Bergman. I'm in love with Adrien Brody, and I don't care who knows about it!
Television
I don't have a TV. I tend to have unhealthy relationships with the TV. However, I love the Simpsons.
Books
I usually read theological and cultural texts. I also read my share of fiction, especially Latin American, East European, and modern. Henri Nouwen and Brother Andrew have been important Christian authors in my life.
Heroes
Gene Breitenbach. David Kragen. Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Corrie ten Boom. My friend Sean. My Grandparents, Majors Mauritz and Esther Roswall.
About me: WARNING: I may blow your stereotype of Christians away. I returned a few years ago from teaching english at a high school in Budapest, Hungary. I’m a 6 foot tall Nordic woman from Olympia, WA who enjoys the simple ways of maidenhood (whatever that is). I worked 2 years as a campus minister at one of the most unusual colleges in the US (The Evergreen State College: The college so unique, it must have “The” at the beginning). I was also in Mexico City with Spearhead (LAM) in 2000, and was a hip Sunday school teacher for teens at the Salvation Army Olympia corps. I’m a free spirit with a loud laugh and an internal weirdo magnet. I consider everyone my friend, so drop me a line and we’ll talk (if I can speak English anymore).
In case you don't know, I'm in Seattle pursuing my Masters of Divinity at Mars Hill Grad School.

Who I'd like to meet: Freaks galore! Followers of Jesus Christ [the freakiest of them all], those curious about Jesus and his teachings, geeks, People interested in the world past the US border, immigrants, lovers of film, rock and/or roll, and books. I like having friends who are different. Danica says that I have an internal weirdo magnet. God bless the freaks! -->
